The 23rd Annual Jacobs School PTO Read-a-thon officially kicks off today at 3:00 PM and runs through Sunday, March 15 at 8:00 PM. This year’s theme is “Ride the Wave of Reading,” and it promises to be an exciting one with great prizes, fun stunts, creative challenges, and if all goes well, a visit from the infamous Reading Pirate! 🏴‍☠️ Students were greeted this morning with a fun and festive setup to kick off Read-a-thon week, getting everyone excited and ready to start reading. Thank you to the PTO volunteers who helped create such a great start to the day! Students will come home today with paper copies of the Family Letter, Pledge Sheet, and Reading Log. The Read-a-thon is the PTO’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and every minute spent reading helps support programs and opportunities for Hull Public Schools 📸 Caught Reading! We love seeing our students reading everywhere! Please send your “Caught Reading” photos to vp@hullpto.org or message them to us on Instagram or Facebook. Photos may be shared online and may be used in the Read-a-thon wrap-up assembly. A huge thank you to PTO members and Read-a-thon Coordinators Katie Barclay and Bea Love for all of their incredible work behind the scenes. They have been working tirelessly with school administration to bring this event to life and make this year’s Read-a-thon a success. @hull_public_schools

🚨 Hull PTO Needs YOU! 🚨 📅 Wednesday, March 11 | 7:00 PM | Jacobs School Library We’re holding our PTO Executive Board Elections and we have CRITICAL ROLES TO FILL. ⚠️ The PTO cannot function without these executive positions filled and per our bylaws, we must have a parent with a child in Grades 8–12 serving on the Executive Board. Without these roles, we are unable to operate. We are seeking: • President (or Co-Presidents) & Secretary President / Co-Presidents serve as the chief executive officer of the PTO, conduct all general and board meetings, appoint committee members and chairs, and support all committees (ex-officio member of all except the nominating committee). The Secretary serves as the authorized legal representative of the PTO, provides notice of meetings, and takes and maintains accurate minutes for all general membership and board meetings. 💙 Please contact Caryn O’Connor at secretary@hullpto.org if you are interested in a position!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Hull High Parent–Teacher Conference Dinner last night! A special shout-out to Boathouse Bistro for providing a delicious meal that our teachers truly loved. We’re so grateful for their generosity and support of our schools and our town. Huge thanks as well to PTO coordinators Christine and Sharon for organizing everything and making the evening so welcoming for our educators.
